Quincy Weekends

This summer we have so far made it back to Quincy twice, which has been very nice! We usually don't' make it back as often as we would like, but due to summer events and festivities, we have the opportunity to see our family and friends back in Q-town many times this summer. Our first visit was a few weeks ago to spend time with the fam and for father's day. While we were there, we also were able to attend a wedding reception of a high school friend of H's. We also were able to visit with our dear friends the Dooley's, Aarti, and Jeff and their grandparents. I love visiting with them, I just wish we were able to see them more often! We wanted to make sure we got to spend time with both of our father's this year for their day, which we were able to do. We spent the afternoon with FIL, and headed back to the Lou to have dinner with my dad, mom and cousins.

The second trip we made was for H's 10-year High School Reunion. What a fun weekend! We went to Jazz on the Park Friday night, which was a casual meet and greet. Saturday, H, Evan, Jason, Kyle, Tanner, and I got up bright and early and for the Raider Classic. All of us except Evan did the 5K, he did the 10K. We had some placers in this run! Evan placed 1st in his age group for the 10K, Jason placed 1st in his age group for the 5K and H placed 2nd in his age group for the 5K. I placed, but it is a long story and should be saved for an evening over some wine.
Saturday night, a group of us headed to Tirmisu for dinner before the reunion. If you ever go to Quincy, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and they had the best red wine I have had in quite some time. After dinner, we headed to the reunion at the Civic Center. It was a fabulous night!

Along with the reunion festivities, I was able to help my MIL and SIL with some wedding planning. SIL is getting married November 21, so there is much wedding excitement at the Bordewick home!

Here and here are the rest of the pics from the weekends!
