Happy Birthday Mom!

Yesterday was my mom's 50th birthday! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating. They decided to stay at the 4 Seasons, the accommodations are a little bit better than ours here at the condo. We met them at the hotel for a drink and then headed to India Palace for a birthday celebration. Some of our close family friends and family met us there and we had a wonderful evening.

On Sunday, all us kids had planned a spa day for mom and dad at the hotel. Well, H and I joined in as well. We headed over to meet up with them, enjoyed breakfast and the relaxation pool. Following that, we had massages and some more relaxing in the spa. It was beautiful and so much fun! We are already planning our next trip. From there we had a late lunch and some shopping. All in all a fabulous weekend! We missed Ritu, Tim, Priti and Abhi, but due to school it was too difficult for them to make it.

Busy March!

The months just seem to get busier and time keeps getting away from us! We have had a busy month so far! A few things we have been up to:

• Vin de Set First Annual Centennial Beer Festival - booths set up with various beer vendors from all over. They were mainly micro-brews. It was fun to try different types of beers for 3 hours!
• Dinner at Shogun for Tammy's birthday - very fun and entertaining!
  
• Condo dinner at the Top of the Riverfront - such a beautiful view at night!
• Book club - our book for this month was the Namesake - such a beautiful book!
  
• St. Patrick's Day - for the first time in my life I ran 5 miles! I always watched people run long distances and was very envious, and now I did it! I was able to finish the 5 miles in 60 minutes. I think I may have found a new hobby, we will see! But for now, I'm very excited about this accomplishment, especially since I never thought it would be possible! H, who is a runner, ran the 5 miles in 40 minutes - so proud of him!

There is much more to come this month!

On a bad note, we thought we had the suspect for the wallet robbery, but the detectives were wrong, and they are back to square one. I was just starting to feel better and that we were about to wrap this up. Hopefully something positive will come up soon and I can put this terrible ordeal behind me!

Jen's baby Shower

A couple of weekends ago we had a baby shower for Jen at the condo. She is due to give birth to
Garrett William Shirley on April 30th. The theme of Garrett's room are Monkey's and so was that of the shower. It was a nice afternoon, Jen got some very nice gifts. It was great to see everybody and spend some time together! Now we just have to wait to meet Mr. Garrett!

Everybody deals with stress at work, but sometimes it takes more of a toll on you mentally, physically and emotionally than you realize. I found this article on USATODAY.com, and found it very interesting. Take some time to glance over it, I know it was eye opening for myself.
