Sex and The City - The Movie

Today H left for Breckenridge, CO for a bachelor party, and this is the first time we have really been apart since we have been married. I know, I know, this is nothing, only a few days and trust me we have done long distance, for a year I was in Boston and he was here, and we did it, it was hard, but it worked, somehow! But, for some reason this time him leaving for a few days really hit me.

It is amazing, we moved in together after we got married, and it was such an adjustment, there were moments I just wanted to be alone, but now that he is gone for a few days, I don't like it! It still amazes me how we went from being complete strangers, to friends, to boyfriend-girlfriend for a long time, and now husband-wife, a family, something I would never of thought when we first met. Now he's gone for a few days, and it is weird, odd how life works! I know it's fairly minuscule in the grand scheme of things, but still is amazing to me.

Bluetooth

Tonight I was downstairs at our hotel bar and a girl came in with her bluetooth piece in her ear. So, I don't have a problem with this device, I think it is a great safety precaution for driving and is good for certain other situations. But, this girl came to the bar, sat down, ordered her meal, and was talking on her device for about an hour. It was the most annoying thing I have ever encountered. Not only did I hear her WHOLE conversation, but it made it hard to even carry on a conversation. I will be the first to say I love technology, but seriously, there is a time and place for everything, and she was violating every code of consideration.

New Job!

Last week I started a new job with Southern Illinois Health Care Foundation as the Health Center Manager for their Belleville Family Health Center. It has been very exciting so far! I am doing what I love, so I feel very fortunate.

I am sure there will be many updates as I begin my career with SIHF!

Masulla

My favorite boutique downtown STL is closing, a very sad day. Masulla opened a year ago on Washington Ave., and it was refreshing to have an upscale clothing boutique in the downtown area.
I frequented Masulla often, and love the owner, she is so innovative and will do great things in the future. She decided that for now, it would be best for her to focus on other business ventures and close the doors of Masulla, which is heartbreaking! I wish her all the best and hope that soon we will have another boutique like hers in the area!

Bye Masulla, we will miss you!

Hello!

Well, I set up this account a while back and had yet to actually use it! I was recently inspired by a friend and have decided to actually become a blogger, or at least attempt to! I guess we will see what happens.

I can't promise it will be very exciting, but I guess it's my life!
